This site is maintained by the publishers of the Merck Manual, a popular medical reference book. The site contains the manual (look under Publications) and allows you to type in the disease of interest to search for applicable pages. Another nice feature is the Disease Infopark, which includes information about diseases of special interest. In addition to these two features, the site has numerous other offerings.

Medscape offers a good site that is full of current information and also provides medical topic searches through Medline. You need to register for this site in order to fully access it. There is no charge, you just fill out an on-line questionnaire. Be sure to remember your username and password for future use! Medscape sends you medical e-mail updates once a week.
