President-Elect: Linda Darvill, RHIT
I am currently employed as Director of HIM and Privacy Officer with Cumberland County Hospital in Burkesville, KY. I have over 15 years of experience in health information management and practice management.
A member of AHIMA and KHIMA since my student days, this is my third year to serve on the KHIMA Board. Also an active member of the Cumberland Valley regional association, I just completed a 2-year term as CVHIMA President. In 2008 I received my MA in Health Information Management from St. Scholastica College in Duluth, MN.
This is indeed a challenging time for HIM professionals, but it is also a time of incredible opportunity to gain new skills and explore non-traditional HIM career paths. I believe it is more important than ever for HIM professionals to support each other as we navigate the changes and complexities of today’s healthcare environment. As a board member, my goal is to strengthen KHIMA’s outreach and member support and also positioning KHIMA as a valuable resource in ICD-10 for our members.
Linda is our President-Elect and 2nd Delegate.
